We are not a campground Nearwood Winery & Vineyards offers a camping experience unlike the typical campground. You won’t find dozens of trailers here crammed together. We are primarily a working winery that has a few scenic spots for camping and offer guest services along with personal attention not found in typical campgrounds.
What makes us different Our winery is on our private property and was built in 2018 along with the home where we live. The winery building has 2 large bathrooms with showers, indoor and outdoor lounging areas, event/dining space, performance stage and free internet. Every Sunday we offer a home cooked meal for $5. Of course we have wine made on-site from grapes in the vineyard as well as beer, non-alcoholic beverages and snacks. Enjoy wine tastings, wine by the glass or bottle.
Choose your camping space between the woods and the vineyard. There is a gas grill, fire pit and wooden platform for tables and chairs. Other spots are in the parking area close to the winery and overlooking the horse pasture. Electric (110-v) is available for all spots. The property is located directly off Hwy 14, so no gravel roads to travel on. Due to the nature of our business, we only host those 21 years old or older. Pets are ok. We can accommodate camping ranging from tents all the way up to 40’ RVs.
Camping is $25/night except during the week of the National races, check-in 3pm, checkout by 11am. Reservations required. Contact us for availability. Email your name and preferred contact and we'll respond quickly.
What is there to do? Besides enjoying the winery, there are other activities and services nearby. Hiking trails, boat rentals and swimming areas are open at Lake Red Rock during the summer, located about 8 miles away. Knoxville's well-known Sprint car racing on weekends is very popular. The racetrack is only 3 miles away. The town of Knoxville has several restaurants and grocery stores within a short distance.
