Tired of being stuck inside all winter? It’s time to get out for some fun!

The winery closed Jan-Feb but is now open for the season, hours Wed-Sun, Noon - 5:30pm or by special appointment

During our time off we made some changes in the winery.

We’ve expanded our wine gift shop to include more wine accessories found nowhere else in the area. Fun and unique items including our branded wine glasses, cork screws, carrying bags, cork boards, wine stain cleaner, and other decor.

If you’re looking for a light lunch with a wide selection of wine by the bottle or glass, stop by. For groups over six, a reservation is appreciated. Best way to contact us is via email. We have a menu of delicious bistro style food. Wine, beer, pop, bottled water are always available. Ask about our elegant and unique Rock Star Dinners available only by reservation.

We support Iowa Creatives including artists, writers, and performers

Writers and Authors
We’ve expanded our writer’s corner and carry books by Iowa authors for children through adult level. Reference books on wine and writing are available to browse. We welcome and encourage writers to come out and work on their craft in a creative environment. Internet is free.

Every Thursday evening we host a zoom meeting with writers participating in the Marion County Writers Workshop. Currently a small group of writers are working on a special collaborative effort of historical fiction that promises to be very interesting to our community.

If you are interested in written or oral storytelling, don’t miss our Storytelling Workshop on April 9th presented by Rev. Sue Woods, award winning storyteller. Workshop, snacks and lunch only $15. Reservations requested.

Performances
We have new stage lights! Musical and other performances will be announced as they get booked.

Art
We are very proud of our long-time friend and artist from Chariton, Nash Cox. Nash earned best of show at Iowa State Fair and his work is included this year in the American Watercolor Society Annual International Exhibition in NYC. We have a selection of his prints and greeting cards available. Other artwork featured is original paintings by Daryl Irving, and handmade home decor signs by Joann.

Events
April upcoming events: Storytelling workshop on Sat, Apr. 9 and Spring Extravaganza on Sunday, Apr. 24. Reservations requested for both events. Open Mic Friday night will be held weekly on April - July on Fridays 7pm-9pm on the Nearwood Stage. Perfect for musicians, singers, storytellers, comics, karaoke fans. No reservations needed. No cover charge.
