Knoxville's First and Only Winery & Vineyards

 We are a family-run winery located in Knoxville, Iowa, serving wine made from Midwest-variety grapes grown and hand-crafted on our homestead. Try a wine tasting with Mike and Joann. Regular hours are Wed-Sun, noon-5:30pm.

NOTE: the winery will be closed Saturday, July 19 & Sunday, July 20.

We Support the Arts: Visual, Word, Performance
Mike and Joann offer winery space for many kinds of creative events. We encourage visual artists to display their work for sale. Writers are invited to Marion County Writers Workshop, held weekly on Thursdays. Local authors can sell books. Performers can use our stage for music, storytelling, and comedy. Monthly book club is 4rth Tuesday of the month.

Grey Book Club held the fourth Tuesday of the month at 6:30pm in the winery.

View Skydivers from the patio and vineyard
The Des Moines Skydiving Club, located at the Knoxville Municipal Airport, offers recreational skydiving and parachutes and small aircraft can be seen from our location. Schedules vary,  mostly on weekends and weather-dependent.


RV and Tent Camping in the Vineyard
Looking for an overnight or few days of camping while attending sprint car races or visiting Lake Red Rock? We have 2 camp spots available with electric. Reserve through Harvest Hosts, RV Overnight, or AirBnB. Email us for more information.

Where is Nearwood Winery & Vineyards?

Find Nearwood Winery & Vineyards 2 miles south of Knoxville, IA, 1699 Hwy. 14, directly off the highway, west side of the road. Look for our yellow winery flag. From Hwy 5/92, take exit 62 and turn south. 
Please note​ the Mile-long bridge over Lake Red Rock on Hwy 14 will be closed throughout the summer of 2025. Follow the recommended detours.
