How Christmas Will Look Different This Year

PictureWreath made from our grapevines
The usual holiday activities for everyone is different this year. The winery is decorated with the traditional trappings but only a few have seen them since we are not having any of the events typical of this season. Since the pandemic arrived, we are not holding any parties, art classes, in-person workshops or pop-up-shops.

With fewer revenue-producing activities, we have focused on the opportunity for more creative time. Since the weather has turned cold and COVID rates are rising, many are isolating at home. This is the time for us to pivot and stay productive, so we’ve turned to projects we usually don’t have time to do.

Mike is building a small greenhouse on the south side of the winery so we can start our own flowers from seed for springtime planting and propagating grapevine cuttings.

I’ve been making chalk art signs and Christmas wreaths. Price range is $20-$30.

We’ve both been writing and working on our novels. You can check out the weekly writing challenge on Facebook. Search Marion County Writers Workshop. This group is most helpful for those that write, or want to write, fiction stories. The Workshop is online every Thursday at 6:30pm via Zoom. Contact us for more information.

Note: New Off-Season Hours
We will temporarily cease our daily hours and be open by appointment only for the off-season starting after Christmas through January, possibly February. We’ll reopen for the season in March. Contact us by email or Facebook messenger if you’d like to visit us in person at the winery during the off-season. We still have a wide selection of your favorite wines.

Finally, thank you to all our customers who have supported us and other local retailers and creatives. Remember you can purchase a gift card for any amount the winery online at our point-of-purchase page. Gift Card.

We hope you and your family have a happy and blessed holiday season.
