![]() The holiday season is an excellent time to consider a gift from a local artisan Many of our customers know Nearwood Winery started out in 2011 at a small tasting room in downtown Knoxville. The retail space that housed this previous tasting room is still owned by us and is now vacant (as of November 2019). Since our liquor license doesn’t permit us to sell our wine there we decided to try a new approach to keep it occupied, at least during the shopping season. Beginning Friday, November 29 and every following Saturday until December 28, the former location of Nearwood Winery tasting room on the Square in downtown Knoxville will host a holiday pop up shop offering wares from local entrepreneurs, artists, crafters, and food producers. This pop up shop allows members of the community a temporary space to display and sell their work. Individual vendors may switch out throughout the six shopping days. Some will return every open date and others may only be present once or twice, so the selection of merchandise may vary. Every day the shop is open will be a new experience. Shoppers may find jewelry, vintage decor, new toys, household goods, bakery items and more. The Holiday Pop up Shop will be located at 210 E. Robinson St. and opens on Black Friday and Shop Small Saturday (Nov. 30), then every Saturday in December, 10:00am - 5:00pm.
